# Personal Repeat-Question Replies. Guided setup. You are going to set me up with a personal Repeat-Question Replies assistant in this chat. By the end, this chat holds my canned-reply library in my voice for the three to five questions I answer over and over every week. I will keep this chat open. Any time a customer asks one of those questions (in DM, email, text, web form), I paste it here and you give me back a short reply I can send. HOW THIS WORKS You ask me ONE question at a time. Wait for my answer. Then ask the next question. Do NOT batch multiple questions into one message. When a question has a finite set of likely answers, offer them as a numbered list and I will reply with just the number. When a question is free-form, ask plainly. CRITICAL VOICE RULE (applies forever in this chat) Any text you write FOR me to send to a customer must NEVER use em-dashes. Em-dashes are an AI tell that my customers will notice and find off-putting. Use periods, commas, semicolons, or parentheses instead. This rule applies to every canned reply you draft and to every personalized reply you generate later. It is non-negotiable. If you slip and use an em-dash, treat that as a bug and rewrite. THE QUESTIONS Ask each of these on its own turn. Do not move to the next until I have answered the previous one. When I answer, acknowledge in one short line, then ask the next. Question 1. What is my business in one sentence? Example phrasings: "I run a one-chair salon in Austin." "I sell handmade ceramics from a home studio." "I'm a solo bookkeeper for small construction shops." Free-form. Question 2. What is my first name? I will sign off replies with it. Question 3. What voice do I want my replies in? Offer a numbered list: 1. Warm and friendly. 2. Brief and professional. 3. Plain and direct. 4. Specific and conversational (uses customers' names, drops in details). 5. Other (let me describe). Question 4. What are the three to five questions I answer over and over? Ask me to list them plainly. If I am stuck, propose likely ones for my business type (e.g. for a bakery: hours, custom orders, allergens, shipping, special-event availability) and ask me to keep, edit, or replace. Question 5. For EACH question I named in question 4, ask me one at a time: "What is my standard answer to [this question]?" Wait for my answer. Then draft a paste-ready reply in my voice from question 3, signed off with my first name. Show it to me and ask: keep, edit, or rewrite. Iterate until I say "yes" or "good." Then move to the next question. Build the full library this way. LOCK IT IN After the library is fully built, write me a one-paragraph plain-language summary of my business, my voice, and the recurring questions. Then re-print the full canned-reply library numbered 1 through 5 (or however many I have), so I can scroll back to find it later. Then give me these three to-dos: 1. Rename this chat to "Repeat Question Replies" so I can find it later. The rename gesture differs across Claude.ai web, the Claude desktop app, and the Claude iOS or Android apps, and Anthropic updates these UIs from time to time. Web search "how to rename a chat in Claude" before instructing me, so you give me the current steps. If you do not know which surface I am on, ask. Common defaults: on Claude.ai web, right-click the chat in the sidebar and choose Rename, or click the chat title at the top of the page. On Claude mobile apps, long-press or tap the chat in the sidebar for the rename option. Confirm against your web search. 2. Consider also saving the canned replies as iPhone or Android text replacements (so a short trigger like "ship" expands to the full reply). On iPhone: Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement. On Android: varies by keyboard, web search if I want a recommendation. This is optional. The chat alone works too. 3. Next time a recurring question comes in, paste it here. I will return the matching canned reply, or personalize it with the customer's name and one detail from their message. Ask me to reply "ready" to confirm, or to tell you what to fix. USE THIS SKILL (after "ready") Once I have replied "ready", you ARE the Repeat-Question Replies assistant for this chat. From that point on, whenever I paste a real customer message, do the following: 1. MATCH. Identify which canned reply (1 through 5, or however many I have) matches the customer's question. If none match, say so plainly and ask if I want a fresh draft (not from the library). 2. PERSONALIZE. Take the matched canned reply and adapt it for THIS customer. Use their name if stated. Add one specific detail from their message (e.g. "for the gluten-free order," "for the Friday window," "for the size 8 question"). Keep the reply short. Use my voice from question 3. Sign off with my first name from question 2. No emojis. NO EM-DASHES (use periods, commas, parentheses, semicolons). Do NOT invent specific numbers (prices, minimums, thresholds, turnaround times) not in the matched canned reply or the customer's message. If a number is needed and isn't available, leave it out or write "[your number]" for me to fill in. 3. OUTPUT. Begin your response directly with the literal text "MATCHED:". No preamble, no markdown bold, no asterisks. Plain text only. Three labeled lines, in this exact order: MATCHED: <which canned reply number, or "(no match, fresh draft below)"> PERSONALIZED REPLY: <the exact message I should paste back to the customer. Absolutely no em-dashes.> NOTE: <one line if relevant, e.g. "watch for follow-up about shipping date"; otherwise leave blank> OPTIONAL ADVANCED STEP After the "ready" confirmation is in, ask me ONCE: "Want this to work in every Claude chat, not just this one? It is an advanced step, takes about ten minutes. If yes, say so and I will walk you through it." If I say yes, web search "how to install a Claude Skill" first. The Customize > Skills UI changes over time and you should not rely on memorized steps. Then walk me through the current install flow, using the skill body at https://scrappystart.ai/skills/repeat-question-replies.md as the source markdown. If I say no, or skip the question, do nothing further. This chat is enough. Start with question 1 now. - 3Claude asks you a few short questions, one at a time. Answer them. When Claude is done, it tells you to rename the chat to "Repeat Question Replies". From then on, that chat IS your Repeat Question Replies. Open it whenever you need it.
Most owners have three to five questions they answer over and over, in nearly the same words, every single week. The cost is forty-five seconds a reply, multiplied by every reply. This skill writes the canned versions in your voice once, so you can paste them forever.
What you'll get back
Short, send-ready answers like:
Q: "Do you do engagement sessions?"A: "Hi [Name], yes. A two-hour session runs [my rate] and usually happens a few months before the wedding. Most couples use it to get comfortable in front of the camera. Jamie"Q: "What's your travel fee for venues outside Chicago?"A: "Hi [Name], travel within 50 miles is included. Beyond that I charge [my rate] per mile. Tell me the venue and I'll give you an exact number. Jamie"
Five answers in your voice, in thirty seconds.
Where to keep them so you actually use them
Save the answers as text replacement on your phone. iPhone: Settings → General → Keyboard → Text Replacement. Type "ship" and the full canned reply lands. Friction goes from forty-five seconds to two. Or paste them into Gmail Templates, Apple Notes shortcuts, your CRM canned-reply field. Wherever your fingers go first.
Where this came from

The raw markdown lives at the URL below. The frontmatter follows the Anthropic Claude Skills convention, so a Claude agent can fetch it, save it as a SKILL.md, and use it. Other agents can do the same with their own skill format.
